Dear Members, Friends, & Fellow American Revolutionary War Enthusiasts,
It is with much pleasure that I welcome you to the new website for the Lehigh Valley American Revolution Round Table (LVARRT). We are one of many such groups scattered across the United States, however, we are the only organization of its kind in the Greater Lehigh Valley region.
Everyone is invited to attend our programs, activities, and events. As our name indicates, we are an association of people devoted to the study of all aspects of the Revolutionary War and early Federal Periods (1763-1789). We are mostly comprised of – but not limited to – historically-minded individuals interested in the years of our nation’s proud foundation.
We provide a forum for the exploration, discussion, and sharing of knowledge of this interesting, exciting, and critical era, and to accomplish these goals, we have lectures given by noted scholars and authors with programs, events, activities and trips planned for the near future.
The LVARRT usually meets every other month, beginning in January, on the third Wednesday evening at Lafayette College in Easton. We do periodically change the meeting nights due to the weather or when it is only possible to conduct our programs on another evening. These updates are posted on this website.
Everyone is invited, no matter what your knowledge of the American Revolution, to attend our meetings. We welcome everyone as a member, with our membership growing and expanding, but you do not need to join to attend our meetings and programs. We also encourage individuals to serve as officers, and on the executive board and governing committees.
As the founder and first president, I look forward to meeting new attendees at each meeting. If you should have any questions, concerns or want to suggest a topic for a program (we are always seeking scholars and authors to present their studies or published work), please do not hesitate to contact me at Lehighvalleyarrt@gmail.com.
All of my best wishes,
Andrew A. Zellers-Frederick
